How it works

A collusion scheme specific to VIP baccarat rooms where the “ladderman” (supervisory staff who oversee the squeeze ritual) or other staff provide information about card values to confederates during the dramatic card-revealing process. In high-stakes baccarat, the squeeze ritual involves slowly revealing card edges. A corrupt ladderman, dealer, or camera operator may signal card values to confederates through subtle gestures, electronic devices, or by manipulating the reveal angle. Hidden cameras in shoes or card guards can also capture the squeeze.
