Careers
Build something nobody else is building.
Verified. Sourced. On the Record.
We are always looking for talent. If the work below sounds like the kind of thing you would do for free on weekends, we should probably talk.
Open positions
Roles are remote-friendly with a strong APAC time-zone preference. Some roles benefit from a working presence in Macau, Singapore, or Manila; we will say so on the long-form description when we send it.
Data Analyst
Build the data backbone for our intelligence reports. SQL fluency, comfort with messy real-world datasets, and a sharp eye for what a number does and does not mean.
Market Research Specialist
Map the Asia-Pacific gaming market — operators, regulators, competitive moves. Strong sourcing instincts, primary-source preference, and the patience to verify a claim three ways before publishing it.
Gaming Intelligence Analyst
Read the regulatory filings, court records, and operator disclosures other people skim. Translate them into the structured intelligence our subscribers actually use to do their jobs.
Casino Surveillance Investigative Reporter
The job nobody else is doing in APAC gaming media. Build relationships with operators, regulators, and former surveillance professionals; turn what you learn into investigative case files that meet our editorial standards.
Risk & Compliance Specialist
AML, responsible gambling, sanctions, KYC — across a dozen APAC jurisdictions. Help us turn compliance complexity into reference material that licensed-property compliance teams can actually use.
Other strong fits we are open to: editorial researchers, translators (Mandarin Simplified / Traditional, Cantonese), engineers comfortable with our Next.js + Sanity + Supabase stack, and partnerships people who know the APAC operator and vendor landscape.
Who we look for
Drawn to primary sources. You would rather read the regulator filing than the press release about it.
Asia-Pacific oriented — you understand that Macau, Singapore, the Philippines, Korea, Vietnam, and Cambodia are not interchangeable.
Comfortable with the surveillance / compliance / operations side of the casino business — or eager to become so.
A clear writer. Industry copy that is precise, sourced, and free of marketing varnish.
Discreet. Some of the work touches confidential sources; integrity matters more than reach.
How to apply
Send a short note to jobs@surveillanceasia.com. Tell us which role interests you, point us at one or two pieces of work that show how you think (a write-up, a dashboard, a report, a PR — anything you would put in front of a colleague), and let us know your time zone. We respond to every serious application; references are checked carefully and we move quickly when there is a match.
We hire for judgment over credentials. If your background is unconventional but the work fits, write anyway.
