Surveillance Asia is the intelligence authority on casino integrity in Asia-Pacific. We help surveillance and compliance leaders catch internal thefts, frauds, collusions and AML risks before they become a loss or a regulator finding. Built by the surveillance investigators who ran the monitoring room, reporting from the world’s most demanding gaming-integrity environment and held to a published verification standard, we deliver the intelligence, detection tools and training the surveillance department can act on and get actual results.

What We Are

Surveillance Intelligence Asia is a Macau-based intelligence publisher and digital-products house serving the surveillance, compliance, and operations verticals of the Asia-Pacific casino industry. We pair verified editorial intelligence with field-tested detection tools, dashboards and training that are professional-grade, affordable, and built for the people who actually protect the floor and the licence.

Asia-Pacific runs a large share of the world's regulated casino floor, with Macau alone turning over $28.3 billion in gross gaming revenue, and the surveillance, compliance and operations staff who work it are served by a vendor ecosystem built for systems, not for the desk. Cameras, analytics platforms and case-management suites are procured; the working reference a supervisor actually opens at 7am is not.

How This Was Built

The work began in early 2024. Our founder and director spent two and a half years gathering the enforcement record of court judgments, regulator penalties, inspection findings, licence conditions and the case files that followed them, then reading all of it for one thing: what actually failed, and what would have caught it. Not what a market survey said a department might buy. What the record said had gone wrong.

Everything on this site was built out of that reading. Every dashboard, every toolkit, every library entry exists because something in the record showed it was missing. We did not identify a market and build toward it. We read what went wrong, and built the instrument that would have caught it. Practitioners and consultants have shaped it throughout: people who have run monitoring rooms, cages and compliance desks, and who told us where the paper actually breaks.

Our Philosophy

Our motto captures our editorial philosophy: “Verified. Sourced. On the Record.” It is put into practice through a four-tier verification badge system that distinguishes regulator or court filings (Verified), news outlet reporting (Reported), analytical opinion (Analysis), and practitioner guidance offered as guidance rather than as a finding of fact (Advisory).

This framework explicitly targets the surveillance and investigations vertical, the operational side of casino management that generalist gaming press habitually skips. The site is emphatically non-consumer: it does not promote gambling products and is positioned as a professional tool for industry practitioners.

Our Position

What we do sits at an intersection nobody else occupies: Asia-Pacific focus, surveillance and compliance specialisation, tools you download and run offline, and pricing a department can approve without a procurement cycle. Trade press covers the industry but not the monitoring room; consultancies go deep but arrive by engagement; regulators publish primary documents but do not synthesise them.

Asia is not a regional limitation. It is the moat. Macau, Singapore and Manila run the world’s most demanding junket, VIP and AML surveillance operations, forced there by the risk environment. Our combination of surveillance expertise, editorial credibility and operational tools is built on that frontier: professionals arrive for verified intelligence, adopt our dashboards and detectors as working tools, and subscribe at higher tiers as the threats they manage get harder.

Why We Built Each of These

We are asked this often enough that it belongs on the record. Each product line exists because of a specific gap we found, and we are not shy about saying so. This is a great deal of work, and it answers problems that were not being answered.

The Desk

Surveillance and compliance teams cannot safely rely on a general AI assistant. A model that crawls the open web has no way of knowing whether a sentence came from a regulator, a court, a trade article or a forum post, and in this field that distinction is the entire answer. Told confidently that a threshold is one figure when the statute says another, a department acts on it. So we built the Desk to work the other way round: it does not crawl the web. It answers only from a curated corpus in which every passage has been read, attributed and graded to its source, and every answer it gives is cited and badged so you can see what kind of authority it rests on. Across every evaluation run we have made, it has produced zero hallucinated regulations. We know of no other assistant built this way for this industry, and we built it because the alternative was unsafe.

The Casino Industry Glossary

The industry’s only comparable dictionary dates from 2003. It is obsolete, it is incomplete, and it was never written for the people who work a modern floor. A supervisor, an auditor or a new investigator needs a working reference for the whole vocabulary, all 1,090 terms of it, written operator-side and kept current. Nobody had built one, so we did.

Teams need to train their own staff on the methods that exist in the world, rather than meet them for the first time on the floor. 400 documented methods, each paired with how surveillance catches it and the countermeasure that shuts it down, described so it can be recognised and never as instruction. A department that has read it is a department that has seen the method before it arrives.

Dashboards and toolkits

Every one of them traces back to a case. A regulator names a control that failed; we build the instrument that implements it. A court judgment turns on a record nobody kept; we build the record. They run offline, on the property, so your data never leaves the building, and they are priced so a department head can approve one without opening a procurement cycle.
