Part IV: Financial Fraud · Chip, Cash & Ticket Fraud
Online Chip Dumping for Bonus Abuse
How it works
In online poker, a player creates multiple accounts (multi-accounting) or works with accomplices. One account deliberately loses chips to another to transfer funds between accounts, complete bonus playthrough requirements without actual risk, or consolidate bankrolls. The dumper may also fold premium hands or make obviously incorrect plays to transfer chips. Online platforms are particularly vulnerable because physical presence is not required and VPNs can mask that multiple accounts are controlled by the same person.
