SCAM #35: Free Play Download Theft (Account Draining)
How it works
Similar to the unauthorized password change scheme, but targeting free play credits specifically. A corrupt employee with promotional system access identifies high-value player accounts with large free play balances, then either transfers those credits to accomplice accounts or creates duplicate cards to drain the balances. This can also involve manipulating free play expiration dates or creating unauthorized promotional credits.

Player loyalty systems, promotional databases, and free play management systems.

The Mohegan Sun Pocono case ($478,350 stolen) is the largest documented free play fraud. The perpetrators spread amounts across multiple high-roller accounts to avoid detection, but the fact that a single VP added over $400k in a year with no other approvals should have been a red flag.
