5.4 Paradise City

South Korea — Property

Paradise City is an integrated resort located on Yeongjong Island near Incheon International Airport, operated by Paradise Segasamex Consortium (a joint venture between Paradise Company Limited and Japanese pachinko company Sega Sammy). Opened in 2017, Paradise City was the first major integrated resort in South Korea to adopt the Las Vegas/Macao IR model, featuring a casino (foreigner-only), luxury hotel, convention center, art gallery, retail, and entertainment venues. The property targets international tourists, particularly from China and Japan.

In practice

Paradise City’s proximity to Incheon Airport (33 kilometers) gives it a significant advantage over Kangwon Land for capturing transit and short-stay international visitors.
