Analog Camera

Systems

A traditional surveillance camera that captures video as a continuous electrical signal and transmits it over coaxial cable to a recording device. Analog cameras produce lower-resolution footage compared to modern digital cameras and are limited in their ability to capture fine detail needed for gaming protection. Many legacy casino surveillance systems still incorporate analog cameras, though the industry has largely migrated to IP-based digital systems.

In practice

Most jurisdictions now require HD or higher resolution for new installations; analog systems are being phased out in major markets like Macau and Singapore.
