Frets

Roulette

The vertical metal separators between the numbered pockets on the roulette wheel rotor. Frets are precision-manufactured to ensure consistent pocket dimensions and to create a sharp edge that helps the ball settle cleanly into a pocket. Over time, frets can become worn, bent, or loose, which may cause the ball to behave unpredictably or create biased outcomes where certain numbers or sectors hit more frequently. Regular maintenance and fret inspection are critical components of wheel integrity programs. Some advantage players specifically look for wheels with worn or damaged frets that may produce exploitable patterns.
