Gaming Regulator Inspector / Agent
Roles
An official employed by a governmental gaming control board or commission who has the authority to enter casino premises, inspect surveillance systems, review footage, examine internal controls, and enforce gaming regulations. Regulator inspectors have broad powers including the ability to issue fines, suspend licenses, and require corrective actions. They conduct regular inspections of surveillance rooms, review surveillance plans, and may independently access camera feeds and recorded footage.
In practice
In Macau, inspectors from the DICJ (Direcao de Inspecao e Coordenacao de Jogos) have authority to inspect any gaming area and surveillance system at any time; Singapore’s CRA (Casino Regulatory Authority) similarly maintains on-site inspectors.
