Asian Card Games (Teen Patti)

In Teen Patti, a Pure Sequence (also called “Shahi” or Straight Flush) is three consecutive cards of the same suit — for example, 5-6-7 of Hearts. It is the second-highest ranking hand in Teen Patti, surpassed only by a Trail (three of a kind). The highest Pure Sequence is A-K-Q suited; the lowest is 4-3-2 suited.

In practice

Pure Sequence is also called “Straight Flush” in Western poker terminology. In Teen Patti, a Trail (0.24% probability) outranks a Pure Sequence (0.22% probability), which differs from standard poker rankings where a straight flush outranks four of a kind.
