A symbol that appears in consecutive positions on a reel strip, increasing the probability that multiple instances of that symbol will land on the same spin. Stacked symbols can include regular paying symbols or wild symbols (stacked wilds). When a full stack lands on a reel, it creates the potential for multiple simultaneous payline wins.
