Trespass / Ejection
Operations
The legal process by which a casino removes an individual from the property and formally prohibits their return. Trespass may result from self-exclusion violations, cheating, disorderly conduct, being on a barred patron list, or other violations of casino policy or gaming regulations. When an individual is trespassed, security and surveillance document the event, and the individual may be subject to arrest if they return to the property. Surveillance maintains records and photographs of trespassed individuals for identification purposes.
In practice
Trespass enforcement varies by jurisdiction; some jurisdictions require law enforcement involvement for formal trespass notices while others permit casinos to issue trespass warnings directly.
