Dealer-Collusion Past Posting

How it works

A far more effective variation of past posting where the cheater recruits a complicit dealer who intentionally looks away, delays calling “no more bets,” or accepts late bets knowingly. The dealer may be paid a percentage of winnings. In the Foxwoods case, dealers used code words “hot chocolate” or “strawberry daiquiri” to identify cheating players. The dealer might “accidentally” miscall a bet as having been placed before the roll when it actually wasn’t. This scam is extremely difficult to detect because the dealer’s actions appear legitimate within their normal duties.

Richard “Mr. Casino” Taylor (43, Memphis, TN) was convicted in 2009 of leading a craps cheating ring at Foxwoods. Prosecutors said he recruited dealers to pay players for bets placed after the outcome. Eleven former Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun employees faced criminal charges. The group was responsible for nearly $70,000 in losses. Criminal cases are also pending for similar activities at Mohegan Sun.
