Apron

Craps

The outer flat perimeter area of the craps table layout, located behind the pass line, where free odds bets are placed. The apron provides a designated space for the additional chips representing odds bets behind pass line, don’t pass, come, and don’t come wagers. Dealers use the apron to manage and track odds bets separately from the original line bets, as odds bets pay true odds with no house edge and must be clearly distinguished for accurate payout. The apron area also serves as a general buffer zone between the betting layout and the table rail.
