Come-Out Roll

Craps

The first roll of the dice in a new round of craps, made by the shooter to establish the point. During the come-out roll, the puck (marker) is in the “off” position (black side up). A come-out roll of 7 or 11 results in a win for pass line bets and a loss for don’t pass bets. A come-out roll of 2, 3, or 12 (“craps”) results in a loss for pass line bets and a win for don’t pass bets (with 12 typically being a push/bar for don’t pass). Any other number (4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10) establishes that number as the point, the puck is turned to “on” (white side up) and placed on the corresponding box number, and the game enters the point cycle.
