Know Your Customer (KYC)
AML/CFT
The process of verifying a customer’s identity, primarily at onboarding, to ensure they are who they claim to be. KYC involves collecting identification information, verifying the authenticity of identity documents, and confirming that the person presenting the documents is genuinely the person they claim to be. KYC is a subset of the broader CDD process and is the first line of defense against identity fraud, money laundering, and other financial crimes in casino operations.
