Nina

Craps

Slang for the number 9, used by dealers and players at the craps table. When a 9 is rolled (typically as 4-5 or 3-6), the stickman may call “Nina from Pasadena” or simply “Nina” as part of the traditional dealer patter. The origin of the term is uncertain but has been part of craps vernacular for decades. The number 9 is one of the box numbers and can be established as the point on the come-out roll.
