Off and On

Craps

A dealer procedure and announcement made when a player’s established come bet is won by a subsequent come bet moving to the same number. For example, if a player has a come bet on 6 that wins, and they also have a new come bet in the come box that would move to 6, the dealer announces “off and on” rather than physically moving chips. The established come bet is paid as a winner (“off”), and the new come bet from the box is placed directly onto the number (“on”). This procedural shortcut speeds up game play and reduces unnecessary chip handling.
