Simplified Due Diligence (SDD)
AML/CFT
A reduced level of customer due diligence applied to customers who present a low risk of money laundering or terrorist financing. SDD may be applied to regular customers with no apparent risk factors, such as local residents with consistent play patterns, low transaction volumes, and verifiable sources of income. However, the decision to apply SDD must itself be documented and justified as part of the casino’s risk-based approach, and customers must be re-evaluated if their risk profile changes.
