Small (Dai Siu)

Sic Bo

One of the two most fundamental wagers in Sic Bo, betting that the total of the three dice will be between 4 and 10 inclusive. The Small bet pays even money (1:1) and has a house edge of 2.78%. Like the Big bet, the Small bet loses if any triple is rolled, regardless of whether the total falls within the 4-10 range. For example, a roll of triple 3 (total 9) would normally be a winning Small total but causes all Small bets to lose. The Small bet is known as “Siu” (小) in Cantonese. Together, the Big and Small bets represent the most popular and mathematically favorable wagers in Sic Bo.
