Part II: Table Game Cheating · Dice & Craps Cheating Methods

Miscalling Dice Totals

Dealer CollusionSkill: Professional (requires complicit dealer)

How it works

The stickman or dealer intentionally calls the wrong dice total or outcome, creating a winning situation for a colluding player. For example, the stickman might call a “hard 8” (4-4) when the dice actually show 5-3 (an easy 8), paying a hardway bet that should have lost. Or the stickman might call a 7 when the dice show a different total, paying “Any 7” proposition bets incorrectly. This is particularly effective with proposition bets in the center of the table where confusion is common. On electronic craps games, the dealer may input an incorrect total into the keypad.

Where it appears

Casino Craps (especially proposition-heavy games), Electronic Roll to Win Craps

On the record

The Roll to Win electronic craps game has been particularly vulnerable to this because only one dealer handles stick, dice movement, calling, and keypad input with limited oversight.
