Totaling Errors / Capping

How it works

The dealer intentionally miscalculates a payout in the player’s favor. “Capping” refers to the dealer adding extra chips to a payout, often hiding them under other chips. The dealer might also intentionally “misunderstand” a bet amount, paying a $100 bet as if it were a $200 bet. Totaling errors on come bets, place bets, and odds bets are common because the payout calculations are complex and vary by number. A complicit dealer can make systematic “errors” that appear to be honest mistakes.
