How it works
An evolution of the classic coin-on-a-string cheat using modern materials to defeat improved coin slot sensors. Cheaters use thin monofilament line rather than string, drill precise holes in coins, or use tape that leaves minimal residue. The coin passes through modern rotating blade sensors but is still recoverable.

The yo-yo and its variants landed numerous cheaters in Nevada’s Black Book before coinless machines rendered it obsolete.
