Wire Transfer / Business Email Compromise (BEC)

How it works

Fraudsters compromise casino vendor or executive email accounts to redirect legitimate wire transfers to criminal-controlled accounts, or trick staff into sending unauthorized payments. Attackers phish casino finance employees, spoof executive emails, or compromise vendor accounts. They send payment instructions with altered banking details just before scheduled transfers. The casino sends money to the fraudster’s account.
