Black Bet

Roulette

An outside bet wagering that the winning number will be one of the 18 black-colored numbers on the wheel (2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 11, 13, 15, 17, 20, 22, 24, 26, 28, 29, 31, 33, 35). This is an even-money bet paying 1:1. In European roulette with the en prison or la partage rule, the house edge on this bet drops to 1.35%, making it one of the most player-friendly wagers in the casino. The black bet loses on zero (and double zero in American roulette).
