Red Bet
Roulette
An outside bet wagering that the winning number will be one of the 18 red-colored numbers on the wheel (1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 12, 14, 16, 18, 19, 21, 23, 25, 27, 30, 32, 34, 36). This is an even-money bet paying 1:1. The red bet loses on zero (and double zero in American roulette). When La Partage or En Prison rules are in effect, the house edge drops to 1.35%. The red bet is one of the most commonly placed wagers in roulette, particularly among casual players.
