Clapper
Other Table Games
The flexible pointer or indicator at the top of the Big Six wheel that determines the winning segment when the wheel comes to rest. The clapper is typically made of rubber or leather and makes contact with the pins separating the wheel segments, creating the distinctive clicking sound as the wheel slows. The clapper must be maintained in good condition to ensure it lands cleanly in a single segment without ambiguity. If a clapper rests on a pin or between segments, the spin is typically declared void and the wheel is respun.
