Dozen Bet
Roulette
An outside bet wagering that the winning number will fall within one of three groups of 12 numbers: the first dozen (1-12, “Première Douzaine” or P12), the second dozen (13-24, “Moyenne Douzaine” or M12), or the third dozen (25-36, “Dernière Douzaine” or D12). A winning dozen bet pays 2:1. The house edge is 2.70% on European roulette and 5.26% on American roulette. This bet loses on zero and double zero. The dozen bet is a popular option for players seeking broader coverage than even-money outside bets while maintaining a reasonable payout ratio.
