Gong
Asian Card Games (Pai Gow Tiles)
A specific hand ranking in Pai Gow Tiles consisting of a Teen (12) or Day (2) tile paired with any eight-value tile. Gongs rank below Wongs but above all numeric totals. There are four possible Gongs: Teen Gong (12+8), Day Gong (2+8), and their alternate pairings. A Gong has a numeric value of 8 but outranks any other 8-value hand.
In practice
Gongs rank 19th and 20th in the Pai Gow Tiles hierarchy. When forming a Gong, players must still create their low hand according to House Way rules. The Teen Gong outranks the Day Gong.
