Craps

The action of increasing a bet, typically after a win. A player may tell the dealer to “press it,” which usually means doubling the bet. Players can also press by specific amounts, such as “press it two units” or “press it to $20.” A “full press” doubles the bet; a “partial press” increases by a smaller amount. Pressing is commonly used on place bets, hardways, and come bet odds. Dealers must clearly confirm the press amount with the player to avoid disputes. Pressing is the opposite of “taking down” or “same bet.”
