Straight Out

Craps

A player’s position at the middle end of the craps table, between the stickman and the base dealer on either side. A player “standing straight out” is at the center of one side of the table, as opposed to being on the corner near a base dealer. The straight out position is popular because it provides good access to both the self-service bets and the ability to easily reach the dealer for place bets and odds. Supervisors use player positions (straight out, 2nd base side, 3rd base side) to identify players for ratings and surveillance purposes.
