War (Casino War)

Other Table Games

The primary action and namesake feature of Casino War, occurring when the player’s initial card ties the dealer’s card in rank. When a tie occurs, the player has two options: surrender (forfeiting half the bet) or go to war. If the player chooses war, they must place an additional wager equal to their original bet. The dealer then burns three cards and deals one card to the player and one to the dealer. If the player’s war card equals or outranks the dealer’s war card, the player wins even money on the war wager (the original wager pushes). If the dealer’s war card is higher, the player loses both the original wager and the war wager. If the war cards also tie, the player typically wins even money on the war wager.
