Working

Craps

A term indicating that a bet is active and has action on the next roll of the dice. Bets that are “working” are at risk of winning or losing on the next throw. Hardway bets are “working” by default unless the player calls them off. Come-out place bets are typically “off” unless the player specifies they are working. The stickman announces “hardways work unless called off” at the beginning of each come-out roll to remind players that their hardway bets are active during the come-out phase. Players can specify “always working” for their place bets if they want them active on come-out rolls.
