Wrong Bettor
Craps
A player who bets against the shooter, specifically one who has wagers on the don’t pass line and/or don’t come bets. Wrong bettors win when the shooter sevens out or rolls craps on the come-out. While wrong bettors have a marginally lower house edge on their bets (1.36% vs. 1.41% for pass line), they are often socially stigmatized at the craps table because they are perceived as betting against the collective success of the table. Experienced wrong bettors typically position themselves at the don’t end of the table and avoid celebratory behavior when the shooter loses.
