Card Mucking (Hand Switching)

How it works

The act of secretly switching cards in or out of a hand during play to improve the cheater’s holding. This requires expert sleight-of-hand skills and precise timing. A cheater palms one or more cards from the table or their lap and substitutes them for cards in their hand. Common in blackjack where a player might switch a 10-value card for an ace to make blackjack. Also used in stud poker to switch hole cards. Requires hiding cards in sleeves, lap devices, or accomplice transfers.
