A sophisticated identity theft scheme where unknown fraudsters (using the alias “Roselli Brothers”) built perfect-credit identities to obtain millions in casino markers before disappearing. How It Was Executed: The brothers used a computer hacker to identify individuals with perfect credit scores. They opened casino credit accounts in these victims’ names, deposited $50,000 front money into each, and built credit lines up to $1 million per account. They played high-stakes, cashed out, and disappeared in 2000.
