A formal response by a gaming regulator or casino operator to address violations of gaming laws, regulations, internal policies, or codes of conduct. Disciplinary actions by regulators may include fines, license conditions, suspension, or revocation. Internal disciplinary actions by employers may include verbal or written warnings, suspension, demotion, or termination. Nevada’s recent regulatory amendments require gaming companies to notify the NGCB when an employee is terminated for violations related to AML policies. Employees in key compliance positions may face disciplinary action from both their employer and the regulator.
