Part III: Business & Regulation · Gaming Regulation & Compliance
Nevada Gaming Control Board (NGCB)
Licensing & Regulatory
The investigative and enforcement arm of Nevada’s gaming regulatory system. The NGCB conducts background investigations on license applicants, audits casino financial records, monitors compliance with state and federal laws, and enforces gaming regulations. The NGCB is responsible for the day-to-day oversight of Nevada’s gaming industry, including casino operations, sports books, and online gaming. No gaming license in Nevada is granted without the NGCB’s thorough scrutiny, and the Board has the power to recommend license denial or revocation to the Nevada Gaming Commission.
