TITO System Exploitation (Glitch Abuse)

TITO FraudVERIFIEDSkill: Amateur to Intermediate

How it works

When a casino’s player reward or TITO system experiences a software glitch, fraudsters may discover and systematically exploit it to generate illegitimate credits. In the landmark Marina Bay Sands Singapore case (April 2014), a system error in the “Sands Bonus Dollars Rewards” promotion caused FPCs (Free Play Credits) to be credited to a player’s account every time they swiped their card at a redemption kiosk, despite the screen displaying an error message. One player discovered that swiping her card 10,293 times over seven days generated 1,029,300 FPCs (worth over $875,000), which she and two accomplices then gambled and cashed out through TITO machines. The court convicted them of conspiracy to misappropriate property.
