How it works

Dice where some sides have been polished to be very smooth while other sides are roughened. The rough sides tend to grip the table felt like hooks and stop the die from rolling, while the polished sides slide easily with minimal friction, causing the die to continue rolling. This bias is subtle but consistent. This method is considered relatively safe because normal wear and tear can also create similar surface variations, making detection more difficult. The cheater may accelerate natural wear by polishing specific sides before bringing the dice into play.
