64. Count Sheet

Count Processes

A count sheet is the official record, prepared in ink or other permanent form, that documents the results of the count for each drop box or slot cash storage box. The count sheet (or its electronic equivalent, the Master Game Report) records the value of each denomination of currency counted, the value of any coins, tokens, or gaming chips, the total value of all contents, and the total of all forms and documents (fill slips, credit slips, markers, coupons) found in the box. Each count sheet is signed by all count team members attesting to the accuracy of the count. The count sheet serves as the primary source document for revenue accounting and regulatory reporting.

In practice

Errors on count sheets require specific correction procedures: crossing out the error, entering the correct figure, and obtaining initials of at least two count team members who verified the change.
