ADW / ADA (Average Daily Worth / Average Daily Actual)

Player Tracking & Rating

Alternative player valuation metrics that incorporate actual win/loss results rather than pure theoretical calculations. ADW (Average Daily Worth) and ADA (Average Daily Actual) represent what the casino actually won from the player, or the player’s actual loss, averaged across gaming days. These metrics are sometimes used in place of ADT when a player has experienced significant actual losses in short play periods—recognizing that a player who loses $10,000 in one hour generated substantial actual revenue despite low theo due to limited time played. Casinos may use the higher of ADT or ADA for comp qualification to avoid under-reinvesting in players who have lost significantly.

In practice

Using actual-based metrics is more common for high-value players and in competitive markets where casinos want to acknowledge significant actual losses through enhanced reinvestment.
