Assistant General Manager (AGM)

Executive / Corporate

The second-highest-ranking executive at a casino property, deputized to act in the General Manager’s absence. The AGM typically oversees specific operational divisions such as non-gaming amenities (hotel, F&B, retail) while supporting the GM on gaming operations and overall property management. The AGM serves as a critical bridge between department heads and the GM, and often chairs operational committees and crisis response teams.

In practice

The AGM role is common at mid-to-large properties and serves as a developmental step for future General Managers.
