Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

The highest-ranking executive in a casino corporation, responsible for the overall strategic direction, corporate governance, and financial performance of the organization. In gaming, the CEO holds ultimate accountability before the board of directors and gaming regulators, and typically serves as the primary point of contact for regulators and government affairs. The CEO oversees all property-level and corporate operations, including gaming, hospitality, entertainment, and compliance.
In practice
In Asia-Pacific, Las Vegas Sands, MGM Resorts, and Wynn Resorts all use CEO titles. Some Asian operators use “Managing Director” instead. In Macau, the CEO must be approved by the Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau (DICJ).
