General Manager (GM)

Executive / Corporate

The senior executive responsible for the overall operation and profitability of a single casino property or integrated resort. The GM holds ultimate P&L responsibility, oversees all department heads (gaming, hotel, F&B, security, surveillance, marketing), and serves as the primary liaison with local regulators, community stakeholders, and corporate leadership. The GM is often the highest-ranking official physically present at the property and makes critical decisions on large player credit, major disciplinary actions, and significant operational matters.

In practice

In some companies, the GM title has been replaced by “Property President” or “Regional VP.” At smaller properties, the GM may also function as the CEO of a standalone operation.
