Audit Trail

Compliance

A comprehensive, chronological record that provides documentary evidence of the sequence of activities, transactions, system access, and decisions affecting an operation, transaction, or event. In casino compliance, an audit trail enables investigators to trace any amount of money that entered or exited the cage back to its source and destination. A complete audit trail includes: transaction logs, authorization records, system timestamps, user IDs, video surveillance records, and supporting documentation. Modern casino management systems automatically create digital audit trails that cannot be altered without leaving a trace.
