EZ Baccarat

Baccarat

A commission-free variant of baccarat where winning banker bets pay even money (1:1) without commission. Instead of commission, when the banker wins with a three-card total of 7, all banker bets push. To compensate, two optional side bets — Dragon 7 (40:1) and Panda 8 (25:1) — are offered. The overall house edge remains similar to standard baccarat.

In practice

Invented by Robin Powell and Danny Robison. Extremely popular in California card rooms and increasingly in mainstream casinos. Surveillance must train dealers to recognize the specific push situations that replace commission collection.
