Carte
Baccarat
The French term equivalent to “hit” in blackjack, used to request a third card in games where player choice is permitted. In Punto Banco, card drawing is automatic based on the tableau rules, so this term is rarely used in modern casino play. However, it remains relevant in Chemin de Fer and Baccarat en Banque where players have drawing decisions.
In practice
Primarily used in European private baccarat rooms and certain VIP games in Macau.
