Omaha Poker

A community card poker game similar to Texas Hold’em but with four hole cards dealt to each player instead of two. Players must use exactly two of their hole cards combined with exactly three of the five community cards to form their best five-card hand. Omaha is typically played as a pot-limit game (Pot-Limit Omaha or PLO).

In practice

The “must use exactly two hole cards” rule is the most common source of dealer error in Omaha. Casino Omaha games are less common than Hold’em but PLO has significant high-staction action. Omaha Hi-Lo (split pot) is also widely spread.
