Royal Flush

Poker

The highest-ranking hand in standard poker, consisting of Ace-King-Queen-Jack-Ten all of the same suit. A royal flush is statistically the rarest hand in poker, with odds of approximately 1 in 649,740 in five-card draw. In casino poker games, royal flushes typically trigger progressive jackpot payouts or enhanced bonus awards.

In practice

In Pai Gow Poker, five Aces (using the Joker) outranks a royal flush. Some casino poker games (Three Card Poker) offer a “Mini Royal” bonus for A-K-Q suited, which is the highest possible three-card hand.
